HUNTERS OR NATURE-LOVERS - 8.5 HA BUSH BLOCK
Situated between Westport and Reefton, this 8.5 ha (approx) bush block with DOC land boasts a variety of wildlife including deer, pigs, goats and abundant native birdlife.
There are currently no buildings on the site however you are allowed to build a dwelling due to the remote location.
The property also features an abandoned early settlers gold mine. You can see remnants of this etched into the hillside. It has laid dormant ever since.
The nearest towns are either Reefton or Westport. The railway line is operated by KiwiRail servicing the coal mine that runs through the area occasionally.
The land is accessed from multiple options. From the main road, over the farm is an undeveloped public access featured on the topographic map. The purple colour lay-over highlights this. It runs 'parallel to the farmers track' so, the farmers track is not the actual public access but it can be used by permission of the farmer. From the farm edge it is a case of wading through the river when conditions permit. Alternatively you can access over other regions of the area to reach the site.
Ideal as a getaway for hunters or nature lovers. Get in touch for more info!
